Jill Moore grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has had a love of music from a very early age, learning piano, trumpet, guitar, voice, and other instruments as well. 

She has a bachelor's degree from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and an Indiana teaching license in K-12 instrumental and vocal music. She has taught music privately and in a variety of school environments, including 10 years at Indianapolis Public Schools, for a total of over 16 years of teaching experience. 

Her performance groups include the Athenaeum Orchestra, the a cappella group Serenade, and the Spinels, an old-time dance group. 

Jill is also a certified leader of the Dances of Universal Peace, a musical spiritual practice. 

In her spare time she enjoys hiking, nature photography, dancing, and gardening.
